Ink endorsement, “Pay to the order of J. J. May, Cashier, Danl. Webster,” on the reverse of a manuscript 6.5 x 4.25 check for $1,000 made out to him by Edward Curtis, November 19, 1851. Framed so that both sides are visible to an overall size of 9 x 6.5. In very good condition, with intersecting folds (touching first name; tape repairs to front), scattered staining and soiling, and cut cancellation away from signature. R&R COA.
