Scarce signature of the genius jazzman

Saxophonist, band leader, and composer whose brilliant improvisatory skills and experimental spirit made him one of the most influential and highly regarded musicians in the history of jazz. After playing tenor and soprano sax with Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Thelonious Monk, he led his own groups and made such classic recordings as “Giant Steps,” “My Favorite Things”, and “A Love Supreme.” He died of liver cancer in 1967 at the age of forty-one. Vintage ballpoint signature, “John Coltrane,” on the reverse of an off-white 3.5 x 2 John Zannini Trio business card. In fine condition, with a touch of mild toning and a label affixed to reverse.
