Vintage glossy 8.75 x 6.5 photo of Ruth in his Yankee pinstripes, leaning into the front row of Yankee Stadium’s box seats next to his wife, Claire, and her daughter, Julia, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Matty Martin from Babe Ruth.” Claire was Ruth’s second wife; Ruth adopted Julia, Claire’s daughter, as his own. Matted and framed to an overall size of 16 x 13.5. A few small and very subtle dings and surface marks, and slightly indistinct contrast to a few letters of signature against shadow, otherwise fine, clean condition.
