Franking signature, “Franklin Pierce,” on a 4.5 x 2.5 mailing panel addressed in his hand to Geo. M. Towle in Washington and bearing a faint Massachusetts postmark and “FREE” ink stamp. Matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 13 x 18.25.
