Description

Statesman and politician (1753-1813) who variously served as aide-de-camp to Washington, member of the Continental Congress, the first Attorney General, and Aaron Burr’s lawyer during his notorious trial for treason. Partly printed DS, signed “Edm. Randolph,” one page on vellum trimmed in size to 14 x 12.25, October 30, 1787. A grant for a parcel of Virginia land issued to Jabez Bacon. The wax and paper seal remains intact at lower left. In very good condition, with trimming as noted, mild rippling, heavy intersecting folds (vertical fold to last name), and ink a shade light but fully legible. R&R COA.
