American boxer (1866–1933) who was the first gloved heavyweight boxing champion of the world, from 1892 to 1897. Vintage fountain pen signature, “With best regards, Sincerely, Jas. J. Corbett,” on an off-white 5.25 x 2.25 sheet, dated October 27, 1930. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Corbett’s hand.
