Much-adored American actress (1917–1975) who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her penetrating, multidimensional portrayal of death-row inmate Barbara Graham in the 1958 classic I Want to Live! Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Peter, Susan Hayward.” In good to very good condition, with allover slight roughness to emulsion, 1″ tear to right edge (touching background only), dings and small creases (one to face), and slightly indistinct contrast against dark background.
