American songwriter (1905–1996) best known for the popular song “Deep in the Heart of Texas.” AMQS, approximately four measures from “Deep in the Heart of Texas” on a cream 8.75 x 3.5 sheet of manuscript paper, signed and inscribed, “To Mr. Lionel A. Aucoin from Don Swander.” A collector’s note on the reverse indicates that the item was obtained in 1942. Faint vertical fold, otherwise fine, clean condition. R&R COA.
