Remarkable group of 59 items signed by early, mostly French aviators, circa 1910–1912. Most of the items are handwritten government postcards sent to the aviators by a collector named Charles Guibout, expressing admiration and requesting that the recipient sign at the bottom, below his message; in addition to signing, a few have added sentiments or inscriptions. The collector subsequently affixed magazine photos of the respective pilot and aircraft. The items are removably attached with photo corners to album pages.
