Original one panel hand-inked political cartoon, dated 1935, on a 13 x 17 piece of artist’s cardstock. Strip depicts a weary American consulting a travel agent for a safe place to live as international tensions escalate before World War II, signed in the lower panel, “Herb Block,” and also signed and inscribed in the lower right, “To Joe Petok, With very best wishes from friend Herb.” In fine condition, with light overall toning, chip to top edge, and pencil notation to lower border.
