Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut (1731–1811). Ink endorsement, signed “Wm. Williams,” on the reverse of a pay order dated April 23, 1781, authorizing the payment of a Lebanon selectman. Endorsed on the reverse in Williams’s difficult to decipher hand authorizing the payment.
