Signer of the Declaration of Independence from New Hampshire (1730–1785). Ink signature, “Your most obt. ser., Wm. Whipple,” on a 2.75 x 1.5 slip clipped from the closing of a letter and affixed to a 5 x 7.75 sheet with a printed portrait. Mild soiling, otherwise fine condition.
