Highly regarded and influential Mexican artist (1886–1957) who earned international acclaim—and stirred up much controversy—for his powerful, politically charged murals. Vintage color print featuring a detail from Rivera’s mural Spaniards Entering Cuernavaca at Cortez Palace in Cuernavaca, 12 x 9.25, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Mr. Paul S. Newman, Diego Rivera, Mex., 1937.” Accompanied by six unsigned prints from the same portfolio. Subtle, unobtrusive stain to lower margin, and a hint of mild toning and handling wear, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
