Souvenir typescript, signed in ballpoint “Thurgood Marshall,” one page, 8.5 x 11, no date. A biographical excerpt from Record Makers and Record Breakers by Nick Iversen. In part: “President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed Thurgood Marshall as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court on June 13, 1967. The first black to sit on the bench of the nation’s highest court was sworn in as the ninety-sixth Supreme Court justice by Hugo L. Black on October 2, 1967….” Mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
