Famed American journalist (1908–1965) best known for his wartime broadcasts from London and his widely respected CBS television news shows See It Now and Person to Person. His role in exposing the hypocrisy of Red-baiting Senator Joseph McCarthy was dramatized in the acclaimed 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck. Four one page TLSs, each signed “Ed,” 7 x 9, all dated July 26, 1963 on United States Information Agency letterhead. Three are identical letters of introduction of Kitty Carlisle, all sent to Israeli politicians, including one to Moshe Dayan. Last letter is addressed to a friend and regards the other three letters. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which appears to have contained all four letters. In fine condition. R&R COA.
