Please to inform me the name of the cashier of the Chemical Bank. It has not, I believe, suspended specie payments nominally. Would my check on it command a premium over a check in any other bank? Yours affectionately….” Buchanan has “signed” an additional time as part of his nephew’s name in the footer.
