King of France (born 1551), the son of Henry II and Catherine de Medici, who reigned from 1574 until his assassination in 1589. Manuscript DS in Old French, signed “Henry” as king, one page on vellum, 16.25 x 8. An untranslated official document. In very good condition, with clipped corner at lower right (probably a cancellation), trimming to left edge touching text, clean cut cancellation through signature, and scattered mild toning and soiling.
