One of the “founding” fascists (1903–1944) and Mussolini’s Foreign Minister (and son-in-law). Uncommon matte-finish 9.25 x 12.5 photo, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “Al. Rev. Cornelius Greenway, Ciano,” Ciano adding “Roma, Aprile XV” in the upper margin. Greenway was a prominent collector of signed photographs whose collection was dispersed by Parke-Bernet in 1971. A touch of mild soiling, small corner bends, and small tape remnants to left and right edges (easily matted out), otherwise fine, crisp condition. R&R COA.
