ALS signed “Phil ‘Scooter’ Rizzuto,” one page, 8.5 x 11, New York Yankees letterhead, no date. A form letter, addressed to Rizzuto’s fans, summarizing his career. In part: “I was very lucky to spend my entire playing career with the New York Yankees from 1941 through 1956. My rookie season was quite memorable as I batted .307 and Joe DiMaggio hit in 56 consecutive games. We then went on to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers in the World Series four games to one, Holy Cow!… In my thirteen years with the Yankees we competed in ten World Series and won eight of them, including five in a row between 1949 and 1953.
