Influential and much celebrated animation artist (1908–1980) best known for his exuberantly absurd, inventively antic cartoons for Warner Brothers and MGM in the 1930s and 1940s. Original comic drawing commemorating the marriage of a couple, ink on illustration board, 10.5 x 12, dedicated at lower right “With best wishes from Doris and Everet” and signed “T. Avery 27.” In very good condition, with light allover toning, mild scattered soiling with a few faint stains, and a few impressions and small creases. R&R COA.
