Highly influential American architect (1867–1959) whose mastery of space, form, and human-centered design revolutionized the field of architecture and earned him a place among the greatest thinkers and artists of the twentieth century. TLS signed “F. Ll. W.,” one page on 11 x 8.5 Wright-designed Taliesin West letterhead, April 18, 1955. Wright writes to Peter Leavitt at F. Schumacher & Co. In full: “Fabric O.K. Glad to absorb it.” The letter evidently relates to one of Wright’s many fabric designs for Schumacher, who produced a number of commercial textiles (for draperies, upholstery, etc.) to the architect’s specifications in the 1950s. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Intersecting mailing folds and a touch of mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
