DS, signed “John Lennon” and “Yoko Ono Lennon,” one page, 8.5 x 11, July 24, 1978. A “Business Certificate for Partners” certifying that John and Yoko were conducting business together as Lennono Music, and that they shared the same residence at One West 72nd Street—the famed Dakota Apartments. In 1976, Yoko had gave birth to the Lennons’ son, Sean; for the next five years, Lennon entered his “house husband” phase, mostly withdrawing from public life to focus on his family. Two years after signing this document, on December 8, 1980, Lennon was gunned down in front of the Dakota by a crazed “fan.” Document bears a notary public signature and seal at bottom. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, a few small areas of minor paper loss, light edge wear, and scattered small stains. COA Roger Epperson/REAL and R&R COA.
