Almost didn’t make it: Lovell signs a flown patch from the Apollo 13 mission

Color Apollo 13 patch screenprinted on a 5 x 6.25 piece of beta cloth, signed in black felt tip “James Lovell, Commander.” Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Lovell, stating in part that “This Apollo 13 crew patch was flown aboard the command module Odyssey during its perilous journey around the moon on April 11–17, 1970…. It is identical to the patches sewn on the crew’s spacesuits. The patches were vacuum packed and stowed aboard Odyssey as part of the Commander’s Personal Preference Kit….” Handsomely matted and framed with an engraved plaque and commemorative medal to an overall size of 13.75 x 20.5.
