Oversized vintage glossy 10 x 13 publicity photo from the 1942 film Happy Go Lucky, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Howard—‘One Touch of Venus’ I hope will make you happy, Always, Mary Martin.” The inscription refers to Martin’s engagement in Kurt Weill’s hit Broadway musical, which ran from October 7, 1943 to February 10, 1945. In very good condition, with a few creases (lightly touching inscription), scattered dings and impressions, tiny edge tears (easily matted out), and slightly indistinct contrast of signature against background.
