Franking signature, “J. Q. Adams,” on a 5.25 x 3.25 mailing panel sent from the Department of State and addressed (partly in Adams’s hand) to the Governor of Maine. Two vertical creases and “free” ink stamp lightly touching a few letters of signature, tear to top edge (away from signature), and scattered soiling and spotting, otherwise very good condition.
