Extensive and one-of-a-kind four volume hardbound book collection entitled Everything I Know About the Dallas Cowboys, Volumes One, Four, Five, and Seven. These hard cover books were presented to Dallas Cowboys football fan Wiley Grinnell as a birthday gift from his family. The book originally contained several hundred blank pages. For the next several years, Grinnell worked tirelessly to get Cowboy coaches, players, opponents, and celebrities to give their opinions on the Cowboys. Many times Grinnell would send the book directly, with the recipient writing their thoughts directly into the book, with other responses affixed inside. These volumes contain over 150 entries from players, coaches, executives, officials, and writers, all relating their thoughts on the Cowboys, football, and their careers. Volume I - This volume opens with an introduction from Grinnell himself, detailing the origin of the book, with a gift presentation from his family written on the inside front cover. This volume opens with thoughts from two of the greatest Cowboys of all time: Tom Landry, “You are the first fan that I have ever seen who would admit that they didn’t know anything about the Dallas Cowboys.
