Napeoleon writes from Petrov to “mon fils” [his stepson, Eugène Napoleon, son of Josephine by her previous marriage] in the midst of the Russian campaign. Matted with a color portrait to an overall size of 19.75 x 14.25. Intersecting folds touching signature, pencil underlinings and notations in another hand, and two clipped book excerpts (one an image) affixed to blank portions of letter, otherwise fine, bright condition.
