ALS, one page, 8 x 9.75, July 12, 1843. Letter addressed to Robb, Winebremer & Company, Philadelphia clothing manufacturers. Buchanan writes, in full, “I would thank you to send me a black cloth coat. The last one you made for me was a little too tight around the body. If it had been a very little larger throughout it would have pleased me better, although it might not have been quite so fashionable. When you send the coat please to furnish the bill.” Intersecting folds and some stray ink blotches to bottom, otherwise fine, clean condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
