Souvenir typescript on an off-white 8.5 x 11 sheet, an excerpt from Hoover’s 1929 Inaugural Address, signed in black ink at the conclusion, “Herbert Hoover.” In part: “Ours is a land rich in resources; stimulating in its glorious beauty; filled with millions of happy homes; blessed with comfort and opportunity. In no nation are the institutions of progress more advanced. In no nation are the fruits of accomplishment more secure. In no nation is the government more worthy of respect. No country is more loved by its people….” A few wrinkles, very faint offsetting of typed text, and small stain at upper left corner, no faults affecting the bold signature, otherwise fine, bright condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
