Air Force general (1893–1958) who commanded the famous Flying Tigers during World War II. Vintage glossy 9.5 x 11.5 photo of a seated Chennault, signed and inscribed in ballpoint, “To ‘Hap’ Arnold with best wishes, C. L. Chennault.” Arnold (1886–1950) was the famed general who helped develop the Air Force into a unified separate service. In very good condition, with bisecting vertical crease and scattered small bends, dings, and surface marks. A most notable association! R&R COA.
