Signer and direct ancestor of two presidents

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Virginia (1726-1791). Harrison was the father of President William Henry Harrison and great-grandfather of President Benjamin Harrison. Partially printed DS, signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 7 x 8.25, September 30, 1784. An appointment for Richard Taliaferro as an assistant inspector of tobacco. In fair condition, with allover toning, scattered soiling, intersecting folds (partial separations and small holes; vertical fold and pinhole touching last name), and scattered chips and ink erosion holes.
