Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware (1734–1817) who later served as Revolutionary War officer, delegate to the Continental Congress, and Governor of Pennsylvania. Partially printed DS, signed “Tho. M:Kean,” one page on vellum, 21 x 11, September 22, 1800. A grant for a parcel of land called “Comeshort” in Chanceford Township, issued to Abraham Mosser. The embossed paper seal remains intact above the signature. Matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 34 x 18.75. In good condition, with slightly irregular adhesion to signature, scattered wrinkling and light soiling, intersecting folds (a few small holes), and dampstaining along central horizontal fold.
