American entertainer (1878–1949), nicknamed “Bojangles,” who was one of the best-known dancer-actors of Hollywood’s Golden Age. He often appeared opposite Shirley Temple in the 1930s. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of a smiling Robinson, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Doris with best wishes always, Bill Robinson.” In very good condition, with corner creases, light scattered soiling, and a few small spots to background.
