Signing a photo in the year he pubished the final Tales from a Wayside Inn

Distinguished American poet (1807–1882) who produced such timeless classics as “Paul Revere’s Ride,” “The Song of Hiawatha,” “and “Evangeline.” He was the first American honored with a sculpted likeness in the “Poet’s Corner” of Westminster Abbey. Carte-de-visite photo, 2.5 x 4, signed in ink on the reverse, “With kind regards of Henry W. Longfellow, April 1874.” Tiny spots, small abrasion, and mild soiling to image, otherwise fine condition.
