TLS as president signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 7 x 9, White House letterhead, June 20, 1911. Taft writes to F. A. Pezet at the Peruvian legation in Panama City. In full: “Mrs. Taft and I thank you and Mrs. Pezet warmly for the kind congratulations on our silver wedding day to which you give expression in your telegram of the 19th.” The letter is contained in an early presentation folder which incudes the original mailing envelope, an unsigned photo of an unidentified man (likely Pezet), and a color portrait image of Taft.
