Actor (1914–1959) best remembered for his role as Superman on the popular 1950s television series. He was fatally shot under mysterious circumstances at the age of 45; whether his death was a suicide or a homicide remains one of the great unsolved mysteries of Hollywood lore. His death is the subject of the 2006 film Hollywoodland. Vintage fountain pen signature, “To Norma, best wishes, George Reeves,” on a blue 5.5 x 2.25 album page. An ink notation at the bottom edge indicates that the signature was obtained on April 6, 1959, just two months before Reeves’ demise.
