DS as president, one page, 15.75 x 9.75, November 10, 1830. President Jackson grants 160 acres of land to Alexander Rodgers. Signed at the bottom in black ink, “Andrew Johnson,” and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Elijah Hayward. In very good condition, with scattered toning, creasing and wrinkling and a worn seal. Jackson was the last president to routinely sign these land grants. He finally stopped altogether, paving the way for all future presidents. The signature is generally quite clear and measures 6″ in length! LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
