Original 1931 glossy 7.75 x 9.75 publicity still from Frankenstein, a dramatic view of the Monster descending a staircase, signed in fountain pen, “Best wishes, Boris Karloff.” In good condition, the edges slightly trimmed, the signature strongly penned but somewhat indistinct against dark background, date notations to lower border, pinholes and losses at corners, and scattered surface marks, creases, and small edge tears. Many of the faults can easily be matted out.
