Description

Good things come in threes: The Stooges sign at the height of their career

Three pencil inscriptions and sentiments, each on an individual off-white 5.25 x 4.25 album page: “To Manfred, Sincerely Larry Fine, The Three Stooges”; “To Manfred, Sincerely, Moe (Stooge) Howard”; and “To Manfred, Curly, 3 Stooges,” Larry also beginning his name beneath (“Larr”). Each page also bears a collector’s notation at one corner indicating that the signatures were obtained at the Paramount Theater on September 15, 1938. This was a landmark year in the history of the Stooges, as it included their first collaboration (“Three Missing Links”) with their most durable director, Jules White, as well as the first use of the brashly orchestrated “Three Blind Mice” as their signature theme. Matted and framed together with a large unsigned photo to an overall size of 24.5 x 25.5. In fine condition. PSA/DNA LOA and R&R COA. Oversized.
