Partially printed DS as president, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page on vellum, 13.75 x 18.25, January 15, 1829. A commission appointing Richard Douglas First Lieutenant of Marines. The embossed paper seal remains intact at lower center. Usual folds (away from signature) and a touch of very mild scattered soiling, otherwise fine, clean, exceptionally bright condition.
