American industrialist (1830–1913) and President of the Standard Oil Company. DS, signed “H. M. Flagler,” three pages, 8.5 x 14, April 18, 1898. An agreement wherein the Standard Oil Company is granted license to lay an oil pipe through Maryland property owned by the Philadelphia, Wilmington, and Boston Railroad Company. One of the pages is a blueprint showing the location of the proposed pipe. In very good condition, with folds, light soiling, and usual document wear. R&R COA.
