In full: “Your munificent contribution, to my library, of the classical edition of the philosophy of Malmesbury, reached me last night. It greatly enriches my shelves; but I value it not only for its intrinsic excellence, but as a memorial of the kind feelings of its accomplished editor.” In fine condition, with a hint of soiling, faint show-through, and marginal pieces of tape (well away from writing).
