Twice-signed Arky Vaughan yearbook

Major League Baseball shortstop, described as one of the greatest hitting shortstops ever, batting over .400 in every season through 1941. He retired with 1173 runs scored, 96 home runs, 926 RBI, 118 steals, a .318 batting average (the second higher mark for a Hall of Fame shortstop) and a .406 on base percentage. At the age of 40, in 1952, while fishing in the ocean just off the coast of Eagleville, California, Vaughan and a friend were caught up in a storm, their boat sank, and the two men drowned. Twice -signed 1929 (his junior year) Fullerton High School yearbook, Pleiades, 8 x 10.75, 160 pages. He’s signed “Floyd Vaughan ‘Now’” in pencil, on pages 118 and 132, near his team pictures. In overall very good condition, with age and handling wear to the book, slightly loose spine, a couple of tipped in images missing. COA Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
