Earl Warren’s successor, Warren Burger, a native of Minnesota, had been a judge of the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit for more than a decade. He became Chief Justice in 1969. Distinguished color glossy 12.5 x 8.75 portrait of the Supreme Court, mounted to a slightly larger photographers board, signed in ink on the board beneath the image by Potter Stewart, Lewis F. Powell, Thurgood Marshall, Warren E. Burger, Wm. J. Brennan, Jr., Byron R. White, William H. Rehnquist, Harry A. Blackmun and William O. Douglas.
