Attractive shoulder-length albumen photo of Abraham Lincoln, 5.25 x 7.25 (oval), on a trimmed approximately 6.5 x 8.5 mount. According to information penciled on the back, the image is a head detail from a photo taken by Mathew Brady in 1863. The mount is lightly affixed to a period paper mat for an overall size of 8 x 10. Striking and very well preserved! In fine condition, with mild soiling and trimmed edges to mount as noted above (well away from image), and a few tiny, virtually undetectable spots to background of image, not detracting in the least.
