Presidential condolences, “I was very sorry to hear of the death of your father whom I always regarded as my very good friend.”

TLS as president, one page, 7 x 9, White House letterhead, December 7, 1927. Letter of condolence sent to the son of a friend. In full, “I was very sorry to hear of the death of your father whom I always regarded as my very good friend. Please accept my sincere sympathy.” Signed at the conclusion in black ink. A bisecting horizontal mailing fold, some mild light toning and creasing and slight mounting remnant along top edge, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
