Original vintage 4.25 x 6.5 Sarony cabinet half-length portrait photo, signed in the lower border in fountain pen, “W. T. Sherman, General 1889.” Also signed and inscribed on the reverse, “To Mrs. Admiral Baldwin, with best compliments of W. T. Sherman, General, New York, Feb. 15, 1889.” In very good condition, with several small dings and holes, a bit of trivial silvering, some scattered light toning and soiling and some small mounting remnants and surface loss to reverse.
