Wife and biographer of ill-fated General George Armstrong Custer. ALS, one page, 5 x 8, August 27. Mrs. Custer replies to a Mr. Bruce from her Park Avenue apartment. In full: “Thank you for suggestions about preparing the pamphlets for mailing—I will keep the note for future use.” A contemporary notation on the verse dates the letter to 1927. Any autograph material by Elizabeth Custer is quite uncommon, and letters in her hand are few and far between. In fine condition, with mailing folds, small closed tear, uneven toning, and traces of adhesive and skinning to verso. R&R COA.
