President Roosevelt appoints Guy Carleton to the position of Major of the Cavalry. Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Roosevelt and countersigned by Secretary of War William H. Taft. In fine condition, with light overall toning, mostly intact seal, erased remnants to top left, light wrinkling and a couple stray ink marks near Roosevelt’s signature.
