As momentum picks up for the Bull Moose ticket, Roosevelt directs a supporter, “I hope that you will get into communication with Senator Dixon, Roosevelt Headquarters, Congress Hotel, Chicago. He is the man who would be able to advise you in the matter.”

TLS signed “T. Roosevelt,” one page, 6.5 x 7.25, The Outlook letterhead, June 7, 1912. Letter to Thomas Sariol, regarding his 1912 run for the Presidency on the Bull Moose ticket. In full, “I want to send you just a line to say how pleased I was to get your letter. I hope that you will get into communication with Senator Dixon, Roosevelt Headquarters, Congress Hotel, Chicago. He is the man who would be able to advise you in the matter.” Archivally double cloth matted and framed with an oval portrait of Roosevelt, to an overall size of 19.5 x 14. In very good condition, with two horizontal mailing folds, staple holes to top left, light toning and a couple small tears, one slightly affecting a single stroke of signature. R&R COA.
